Golden Milk (Turmeric Tea Latte) Recipe

Turmeric milk is a traditional Ayurveda recipe used commonly to relieve cold, flu, and respiratory symptoms. It also happens to be extremely delicious, warming, and delightful.


Turmeric is a strong antioxidant, antiviral, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory. An herbal dosage is actually 3 tsp, therefore, this drink won’t be enough to remedy all of your health ailments but it will surely offer a delicious start in the right direction.

Golden Milk (aka Turmeric Tea) is an ancient drink to relieve many ailments and support immune functioning.


  • 2 ½ cups of Cashew milk

  • 1 tsp Turmeric

  • ½ tsp Cinnamon

  • 1 tsp of Raw Honey

  • Pinch of ground black pepper

  • Fresh ginger root (1 inch, peeled and chopped)


1. Add honey into a small saucepan on low heat.

2. Add turmeric and cinnamon with honey and whisk until fully blended and homogenous (2-3 minutes)

3. Add cashew milk into saucepan and continue to whisk (2-3 minutes)

4. Pour into a cup and enjoy!


  • Milk: feel free to choose any milk substitute that you like (i.e. while milk, coconut, oat, soy, etc)

  • Raw Honey: maple syrup or agave

  • Cinnamon: pumpkin spice

  • Ginger: ¼ tsp of ginger powder

Vata Pitta Kapha Considerations:

  • Vata: Substitute whole milk

  • Pitta: Substitute coconut milk

  • Kapha: Substitute almond Milk and add additional raw ginger
