Aren’t we sick and tired of being sick and tired?

why i’ve dedicated my life to this

We live in a society where we often wait until something is screaming for attention before we make any adjustments… our health does not have to be this way.

I want to empower you to educate yourself through resources and personal experiences. We are lucky to have the opportunity to do so, let's embrace it. Don't make the same mistake over and over, then wonder 'why me?'

I adore Ayurveda + Yoga because I've never felt more aware of my mental and physiological functions. I can identify a cold ten days out... and I know just what to do about it.

This practice allows us to train our body and mind to identify subtle dis-eases in the body. The goal is to address these ailments before they develop into something more complicated and difficult to address.

She completed her Ayurveda Practitioner Program in 2018 and taught at the Yoga On High Ayurveda Institute. Beyond the mat, you can find Marina playing piano, rock climbing, and/or cooking endless amounts of intriguing foods. She loves big smiles, her one-eyed-cat, anything furry, karaoke-ing, surfing, and dancing while cooking.

How it began

My Ayurveda education was not pre-meditated, it just kind of happened.

In 2015, I was simultaneously pursuing my BS at The Ohio State University in Environmental Science when I casually enrolled in a 600hr (10 month) training through the California College of Ayurveda Medicine.

I didn’t even know what Ayurveda was… and I certainly had zero expectation for grandiose, life-changing effects. All I knew: I wanted to dive deeper into that of Natural Medicine, and thought, “well, why the hell not?” I was so incredibly thirsty to pursue interests outside of my perfectly sculpted and manicured “career path”, and this just happened to fit the build.

It didn’t take very long for me to fall into the depth of natural medicine obsession (herbs, nutrition, lifestyle modalities, clinical studies, etc). I kept adding to my work load with zero hesitation… learning more and more with each day. It didn’t matter how many books I read, workshops I took, online classes I enrolled, I wanted more.

I sat through an additional 1200 hours in order to teach the very class which granted my Ayurveda Health Counselor Certification. At this point, I was heading full speed into this all-things Ayurveda.

I started my internship in 2018 through the guidance of my beloved mentor, Mary Thompson.

Since then, I’ve taken over 30 clients and taught dozens of Ayurveda Workshops and series classes.

I don’t see health and wellness as a clear cut approach to standardized and six-pack abs. I firmly believe that health and wellness is derived from a holistic model, working from the inside-out to elevate aspects of the mind, genetic make-up, physiological functions, and physical performance.
